摘櫻桃 vs. 櫻桃選果
既然來紐西蘭的目的就是要嘗試不一樣的事情，最後還是在掙扎中選了-- 選果！摘櫻桃試也嘗試過了，選果也是另一種嘗試，雖然最後一直埋怨選果太悶了，長時間低著頭搞得頸好酸，有如機器般一直重複同樣的動作，心裡還一直想著是不是要換去摘果，同房一位女生找到一間果園提供計時摘果，那對我來說是一舉兩得，可是因為同行不搶人的規則所以就被拒絕了-_-''' 就這樣一直繼續做選果到季節結束……
摘果通常是計件的，但選果卻大多數是計時，而包裝都是計時。選果計件很重要，因為做得越快就賺越多，其實最大原因是因為計件才會讓你更有動力地拼，試想想，如果是計時的，做多做少都一樣，就會輕輕鬆鬆地做，但這種機械式加上毫無目標的的工作，時間是很難過的。
如果前一晚上下雨或露水較多，規模較大的果園會用自己的直升機來風乾果子上的水，太多的水會導致櫻桃表皮裂開，這樣就不能出口了咯！
第一次是在Roxburgh做藍莓選果，一桶桶的藍莓倒在滾輪輸送帶上，一堆堆的小小藍莓滾著經過，就要放大眼睛來選果，搞得眼花繚亂，幾乎每隔一小段時間就會不自覺地抬頭看時鐘，但只過了15分鐘……好不容易才等到放工！只做了一天就不去了……
進了這間LeFresh Stonefruit（之前是Summerfruit， 現在改成Dunstan Hills）才知道原來不是所有的選果工作都是計件，而剛好這間是計件的，一桶ND$2.8，其他包裝廠有些一桶ND$2.5或ND$3.0。當然工錢高的選果條件就比較嚴格，而Fortune Fruit是背包客的首選，是出了名的“好賺”，選果的品質管理很寬鬆，一桶一桶的選，一天賺ND$200不是問題，就連摘果也一樣，什麼果都能摘，也不用分枝，所以才有“同年2月就已經報名填滿位子了”的驚訝，而大多數都是曾經在那工作過的，可是聽說從去年開始好像換了管理層，摘果選果已不能那麼馬虎了。
站著選果，桶一拿上來倒在小台上，如果看到果都是大大顆的，那很好，很快就可以選完一桶了；最怕是那麼不幸運的拿到整桶都是小小顆的、幾顆幾顆的枝連在一起、葉子爛果統統被摘進桶子里、沒被沖乾淨的果、一顆顆果都是泥土根本看不清是爛/裂的部分還是骯髒，這樣一來選完一桶的時間往往是平常的2倍了。有些人就是可以做得很快，不管好果爛果都好像難不倒他似的，每天選得最多桶的就是他，不像我，爛果一來我就慢下來了，有時是選著選著突然覺得工作很無聊就懶下來了……

偶爾老闆還是會很慷慨讓我們拿櫻桃回去吃，任拿！拿了很多肯定是吃不完的，有些人拿來做蛋糕，還聽說有人拿來敷面膜呢！
在選果的時候，各種蟲類混雜在果子堆裡是很常見的，而這隻不小心跟著我回到宿舍里去了

想想，還是摘果時最好玩，雖然錢賺得不多！看到一棵棵結滿紅紅櫻桃的樹就會好開心，第一次看到在樹上的櫻桃，呵呵！在家都捨不得買來吃，因為好貴好貴，只吃過蛋糕上的糖漬櫻桃，所以一度認為櫻桃不好吃，第一次看到這麼多的而且是超級新鮮的紅撲撲的櫻桃，好想要把它們全部都摘下來，不是要放進桶裡，而是要把它吃掉，可是吃掉就沒錢賺了哦！嘻嘻！只有血紅色的才可摘，至於那些艷紅的都還不算成熟、不夠甜。通常看到大顆的都先放進嘴裡，先替大家嘗嘗看甜不甜啊！哈哈！^_^ 長的梯子拿得吃力，只好搬個小的，可是小的爬得不夠高，在樹頂端的就摘不到了，只好摘完較低部分的之後就移去下一棵樹，但往往越上面的越大顆，較快填滿桶。
但說實話，也許只是做個2天所以回憶都是美好的，如果做個2星期或1個月，可能就會因為太累而變得“不好玩”了。
所以，各有各的精彩，各有各的好玩!!!
